ITINERARY

Ahmed’s Epic Egypt Tour | Oct. 17 - 31, 2026

Day 1
Point of Departure – Dulles, Washington DC

We will meet at 9 AM sharp at the Egypt Air check-in counter for international departure at the Washington Dulles Airport. Make sure to keep your passport available at all times for the Check-In process.

The flight duration is approximately 9 hours and 40 minutes. No vaccination proof is required.

Day 2
Arrival – Cairo International Airport

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, we will meet our knowledgeable tour guide who will assist with luggage and airport procedures. From the airport we board our air-conditioned tour bus and proceed to enjoy our first Egyptian breakfast.

After breakfast we check into a luxury hotel overlooking the Nile River. The remainder of the day is free to relax in your room or explore the beautiful hotel surroundings. Dinner will be served in the evening before retiring for the night in preparation for the start of touring the following day.

Day 3
Cairo – Museum Touring

After breakfast between 6:00–8:00 AM, we depart at 8:00 AM to begin our touring adventure in Cairo.Our first visit is the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), one of the newest and most significant museums dedicated to ancient Egyptian history. After lunch outside, we continue to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, located in the historic city of Fustat. This museum houses approximately 50,000 artifacts, presenting Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times to the modern era. It is also home to the Royal Mummies of Egypt’s kings and queens, celebrated during Egypt’s Golden Pharaohs Parade.Dinner will be served in the evening.

Day 4
Cairo – Aswan (Upper Egypt) – Nile Cruise Embarkation

After breakfast between 6:00–8:00 AM, we check out of our Cairo hotel and transfer to Cairo International Airport for a short flight to Aswan in Upper Egypt.

Upon arrival we meet our tour guide and receive luggage assistance before enjoying breakfast in Aswan. Our sightseeing begins with a visit to the Temple of Philae, reached by water taxi. This beautifully preserved Ptolemaic temple complex is dedicated to Isis, Osiris, and Hathor, and was later used by Christians as a church, evidenced by Coptic cross carvings inside the temple. We then visit the Aswan High Dam, one of the most important engineering projects in modern Egypt.

After touring, we check into our luxury Nile cruise ship and enjoy lunch onboard. An optional excursion to a Nubian Village may be available. In the evening, relax on the sun deck before retiring to your cabin.

Day 5
Nile Cruise – Kom Ombo

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served buffet-style aboard the cruise ship, with meal times posted in the reception area.

Today the ship sails to the Temple of Kom Ombo, a unique temple dedicated to Sobek, the Crocodile God. After dinner in the evening, guests can enjoy a lively Galabeya Party and Egyptian folkloric show in the ship’s lounge.

Day 6
Nile Cruise – Sailing Day

All meals are served aboard the ship as we enjoy a relaxing sailing day on the Nile River. This day offers time to unwind and take in the scenery along one of the world’s most historic waterways.

Day 7
Nile Cruise – Esna Locks

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served onboard as the ship continues its journey north. During the day we pass through the Locks of Esna, an important navigation point along the Nile.

Day 8
Arrival Luxor – Ancient Thebes

Today the ship arrives in Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes. After breakfast we begin exploring two of Egypt’s most remarkable temple complexes.

First we visit Luxor Temple, an ancient temple complex constructed around 1400 BCE and associated with the reigns of Amenhotep II and Amenhotep III. We then continue to the vast Karnak Temple Complex, a remarkable collection of temples, pylons, chapels, and monuments dedicated primarily to the god Amun.Meals are served aboard the ship.

Day 9
Luxor – Valley of the Kings

After breakfast on the ship we check out of the cruise and transfer to a luxury hotel in Luxor for a one-night stay.

The day’s exploration includes the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground for the pharaohs and rulers of ancient Egypt. We also visit the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, one of the most striking architectural achievements of ancient Egypt, dramatically carved into the side of a mountain.

Lunch and dinner will be enjoyed outside the hotel.

Day 10
Luxor – Hurghada (Red Sea)

Today we depart for Hurghada on the Red Sea. Upon arrival we check into our beachfront resort, where guests can begin enjoying free time by the sea. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served buffet-style at the resort.

Day 11
Hurghada – Red Sea Resort

Enjoy a full day of free time at the Red Sea beachfront resort. Relax on the beach, explore the area, or simply enjoy the amenities of the resort. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served buffet-style.

Day 12
Hurghada – Cairo – Giza

After breakfast at 8:00 AM, depart from Hurghada and return to Cairo to continue exploring some of Egypt’s most iconic landmarks.

Upon arrival, visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, where you will enjoy an exterior view of the three legendary pyramids: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. These ancient structures stand as some of the most remarkable architectural achievements of the ancient world.

For those interested, an optional tour is available to enter the interior of the pyramids (refer to your contract for pricing details).

Nearby, you will also visit the Great Sphinx of Giza, the monumental limestone statue that has stood guard over the Giza Plateau for thousands of years.

After lunch outside, continue with visits to several traditional Egyptian specialty shops, including a perfumerie, a spice shop, and a gold shop, where you can explore local fragrances, spices, and handcrafted jewelry.

Dinner will be served before returning to the hotel for the evening.

Day 13
Cairo – Saqqara – Optional Alexandria

Today offers an optional excursion to Alexandria (refer to your agreement for pricing).

The day’s touring also includes a visit to the Saqqara Necropolis, home to the famous Step Pyramid of Djoser, one of the earliest monumental stone structures in ancient Egypt and an important milestone in pyramid development.

After lunch, continue to the Mit Rahina Open-Air Museum, where you will see the impressive Colossus Statue of Ramses II, one of the largest statues of the great pharaoh ever discovered.

Later in the day, visit several traditional Egyptian craft and specialty shops, including a cotton shop and a papyrus shop, where you can learn about the craftsmanship behind two of Egypt’s most famous products.

Day 14
Cairo – Coptic Cairo – Khan El Khalili – Departure

After breakfast (6:00–8:00 AM), begin the day exploring the historic Coptic Christian area of Cairo, one of the oldest districts in the city and an important center of early Christian heritage in Egypt. Here you will visit The Hanging Church and Abu Serga Church, both significant religious landmarks with deep historical roots.

Next, travel to Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s most famous bazaar and souq, located in the historic center of the city. Wander through the vibrant market streets filled with shops offering treasures of every kind—clothing, spices, traditional costumes, tea, sweets, and handcrafted goods.

Lunch will be enjoyed outside before gathering for a memorable Farewell Dinner to celebrate the journey through Egypt.

In the evening, depart at 8:30 PM for Cairo International Airport in preparation for the 11:20 PM departure flight back to the United States.

Day 15
Return to the United States

Arrive back in the United States, concluding Ahmed Hussien’s Epic Egypt Tour.
